Who We Are

Our Vision

A Uganda where every adolescent and young person regardless of gender, ability or background is empowered with knowledge, opportunities and agency to lead a healthy, safe and dignified life.

Our Mission

Inclusion

Embracing diversity, including youth with disabilities and refugees.

Lasting change through collective action and partnerships.

Innovation

Harnessing creativity, technology and youth voices to design transformative solutions.

Current Geographic Focus

Our Work in the Sebei Region

We are currently implementing programmes across the Sebei sub-region (Kapchorwa, Kween and Bukwo districts) on the slopes of Mount Elgon. This area faces persistent challenges of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), limited access to youth-friendly SRHR services, gender-based violence, and constrained economic opportunities for young people especially AGYW.

Youth-Friendly SRHR & HIV Services

Expanding access to accurate information, counselling and referral for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, HIV prevention and care, and mental well-being through trained peer educators and community dialogues.

  • • Peer education sessions in schools & communities
  • • Safe spaces for AGYW and ABYM
  • • Linkages to health facilities

FGM Prevention & Alternative Rites

Supporting community-led efforts to end Female Genital Mutilation through awareness, survivor support, engagement of cultural and religious leaders, and promotion of alternative rites of passage that protect girls’ rights and health.

  • • Community dialogues & male engagement
  • • Survivor psychosocial support
  • • Advocacy for alternative rites

Social Protection & Economic Empowerment

Strengthening livelihoods of vulnerable young people through life skills, financial literacy, savings groups, and linkages to vocational training and market opportunities with emphasis on AGYW.

  • • Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLA)
  • • Entrepreneurship & soft skills training
  • • Mentorship pathways

Safe Spaces

Theory of Change

If adolescents and young people in Sebei have accurate SRHR knowledge, access to youth-friendly services, protection from harmful practices (including FGM and GBV), and economic agency and if communities and duty-bearers are engaged as allies then young people will be healthier, safer and more empowered to shape their futures and those of their communities.
