A Youth-Led Movement for Health, Rights, and Empowerment in Uganda.
Livane Youth Foundation (LYF) is a youth-led, rights-based organisation dedicated to advancing the health, rights, and social well-being of adolescents and young people in Uganda. We focus particularly on Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) and Adolescent Boys and Young Men (ABYM), who face heightened vulnerabilities in accessing health, education, and economic opportunities.
Rooted in the principles of human rights, inclusion, and equity, Livane works to transform how communities approach adolescent health and empowerment. Our programs adopt a nexus approach that bridges health, education, gender equality, and social protection, ensuring that no young person is left behind.
We envision a generation of young Ugandans who are healthy, informed, economically resilient, and meaningfully engaged in shaping the future of their communities.
A Uganda where every adolescent and young person—regardless of gender, ability, or background is empowered with knowledge, opportunities, and agency to lead a healthy, safe, and dignified life.
To improve the health, rights, and livelihoods of adolescents and young people through inclusive, youth-centred programs that promote Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), mental well-being, gender equality, and socio-economic empowerment.
